SPLATWARE by Granby Workshop
Community centric designers Granby Workshop are preparing to launch a new range of ceramic products. SPLATWARE is a collection of ceramic tableware that embraces unpredictability in design. The process was developed through experimentation with industrial machinery and taking inspiration from traditional Agateware and Nerikomi ceramic crafts. Roughly mixed coloured clays are placed in a hydraulic press in order to mould plates and cups. The resulting pattern and surface decoration is haphazard and random and each and every piece is unique
