Design Direction: Perfect Imperfection

The second image in the series of room sets created by Six N.Five for FranklinTill is Perfect Imperfection: There is a renewed appreciation for the slowness and sustainable side of skill, craft and artistry.  Interior textiles and home accessories bear the marks of their making, embracing visible brushstrokes, stitching and joinery. With a focus on materiality, textile surfaces embrace a handmade look and feel. Hand-woven fabrics, knotting, applique and painterly abstract patterns create a look that embraces irregularity and authenticity. Rich earth tones, clay browns and nude and complimented by shades of indigo.

Visit the Atelier space during Heimtexil 2018 to experience for yourself a natural dying workshop with Lola Lely. Alongside, The Bristol Weaving Mill will invite fairgoers to contribute to the creation of a collaborative tapestry depicting weaving and knotting techniques.
